established in 2001 providing specialist ecological, tree advisory, and
environmental management services to various business sectors. Our clients include consulting engineers,

Oikos has been providing tree advisory services for its Clients in
the construction and landscaping industry since its establishment and has been
heavily involved in several large-scale infrastructure projects. We have thorough understanding of
tree–environment relationships.
Utilizing horticulture, engineering and design skills, we are able to
provide specialist advice on the protection and maintenance of trees well in
advance of the planning and construction process in order for the Client to
plan ahead the level of work required to protect, preserve and mitigate the
tree from injury. Oikos’ knowledge and ability to properly care for trees is a
benefit to their Clients, the affected trees, and the environment. It is our goal to become familiar with trees
and natural resources on a Client's property whether under development, or
already completed, in order to provide the optimum care toward meeting the
owner's expectations.
Oikos also has close working relationship with a leading local
landscape contractor and is therefore able to provide a full range of
landscaping and horticultural services to its Clients.

Workshops

Oikos can provide a range of workshops, training, and presentations
related to Habitat Creation, Tree Protection, as well as Implementation of
Ecological Mitigation Measures and Environmental Management System. Using a variety of media (e.g. slides, Powerpoint, static displays), Oikos staff can effectively communicate the desired message to
layman, technical or scientific audiences.
We have been invited to conduct training and act as guest lecturer by
the Hong Kong Productivity Council and The Department of Ecology and
Biodiversity (The University of Hong Kong) on ecology and environmental
management. We can also provide expert advice and consultation for technical
and working committees. Where possible, we incorporate practical and field
components to facilitate information transfer and learning.
